Run AI in the Browser, Not the Cloud: A Practical Intro to Chrome's Built-in AI | Free Webinar | Julia Rapczynska & Markus Nissl @ AI-Poland

About the event

Your browser can run the model.

Most AI-powered apps collect input, send it to a cloud model, wait for a response, and pay for every token. But modern browsers can now run language models directly on the user's device, for tasks like classification, information extraction, rewriting and content assistance, without sending every interaction to an external service. That opens up lower inference costs, better responsiveness and keeping sensitive data on the device.

In this free, hands-on session Julia Rapczynska and Dr. Markus Nissl introduce Chrome's built-in AI and build a small AI-powered feature with the Prompt API: model availability, initialization, streaming responses and structured output, plus graceful fallbacks for unsupported browsers and devices. We also look at the real limits of on-device inference, so you can decide what belongs in the browser, in the cloud, or in a hybrid architecture, without needing a machine-learning background.

Who should attend?

Frontend and full-stack developers, software architects and tech leads who want to integrate AI into web applications without depending exclusively on cloud-based inference. Basic JavaScript or TypeScript knowledge is recommended; no previous experience with machine learning or local models is required.
